the Wilburns early in their careers and even went to Nashville at
their invitation. Ultimately his family life and passion for Western
Swing led him back to the Ozarks he loved so well.
Also on the bill are four talented singer/songwriters whose
careers are skyrocketing.
Dave McCormick’s emotionally powerful singing and insightful
lyrics helped lead him to win the 2006 Mountain Stage Newsong
Festival Contest. He has opened for numerous other famous acts
including Molly Hatchett, Black Oak Arkansas, Exile, The Kentucky
Headhunters, Cledus T. Judd, and David Allan Coe.
Meaghan Owens performs with an amazing depth born of her
midwestern upbringing and understanding of the true character of the
American spirit. Her music is moving and haunting and leaves
listeners feeling they have actually met the characters in her
songs.
Brian James is always a fan favorite because of his strong
vocals and gripping guitar sounds. He is also sought out as one of
the best young writers who recently earned his first cut with the
single "Fallen Angels".
Arikah Nash’s broad background in music, television, singing,
writing and theatre has given her a tremendous performing edge. She
continues to stretch her songwriting talents while preparing to tour
with her band and in a music video by fellow performer Brian James.
